IRIS CHRISTINE GRACE RAY (nee KNAPP) 1945 - 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iris Ray on May 17, 2011. Iris was born on September 22, 1945 in Winnipeg. Iris' greatest gift was her keen observations of people, although many would say her gift of the gab was greater. Whatever the case, Iris used both gifts to bring happiness to all who came into her life. Iris will be greatly missed by her daughter Joelene Elizabeth Ray, granddaughter Haley Dawn Ray and countless friends. Please join us for fellowship and song on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Zion Lutheran Church 2903 McPhillips Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Iris' memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 9Z9. Iris and I become b.f.f.'s as teenagers, having met at St. John H.S. in Gr.9 and spent some great times/adventures together. She was brilliant, kind, generous of spirit and loyal "to the end"!
